I have always been religious about changing oil and filter and changing spark plugs. Seems to be almost an obsession for me. My question is this...

I recently purchased my first Ram '07 1500 and it was born and raised on conventional motor oil. It now has 80,000 miles and I would like to switch over to full synthetic. Over the years I have heard the rumor repeatedly that it's not safe for certain seals and gaskets to switch to full synthetic with this mileage but I have never seen anything to prove that claim. I was hoping for some input from the group... Time for an oil change, which should I buy? Assume funds are not an issue.

It's never to late to switch to synthetic motor oil in my opinion. And 80k is not bad at all for mileage. More important use an oil filter with the bypass valve on top of the filter. Never use a filter with the bypass valve on the bottom of the filter. And the good news is the Mopar oil filters bypass valve is on the top.
