I have very loose steering, after checking my tie rod ends, steering column shaft bearing, and pitman arm, i figured out that the pitman arm was loose. I saw a steering gearbox stabilizer online but I don't know it i need a new box or if the stabilizer will help. Also, would adjusting the box help at all, the truck is a 2001 dodge ram 1500, 4x4

Yeah, I have the same loose steering problem on my 2001 1500. Just replaced all tie rod ends and the Idler arm and then had a shop replace the ball joints and do the alignment. It rides fairly straight now but I feel like I'm constantly turning the steering wheel. There seems to be a lag time between when I turn the wheel and it finally responds. Saw the same stabilizer on line at DodgeRamSteeringStabilizer.com for about $120. Thought I would first see if adjusting the box would help, any idea where I can find some good tech data on the steering boxes?
