Anybody else has a loud sound that doesn't seem normal. I get it at around 30 to 40mph. It almost sounds like when you only roll down one window while driving. Now that i think of it, it might be noticed when the truck is just about to switch gears.

Active Noise Cancellation issue

Its the freaking Active Noise Cancellation causing this issue. I noticed it first thing when I test drove one last week. In the one I drove, the ear pressure sensation made it feel like I was 10 feet under water out on the interstate. I so wish there was a way to turn that crap off....

The Current version of the Chevy Suburban/Tahoe have been having this issue for years with the current model design....search for Suburban Buffeting and you will see hundred and hundreds of people complaining about how the Active Noise Cancellation causes this issue. FOr some people the noise and ear pressure issues is so bad it makes them sick.

What a stupid feature; what is the highest trim of 2019 that does NOT come standard with that?

Its as bad as the v6 and 4 banger Mustangs that play V8 exhaust noise through the speakers. You can only get a cabin so quiet with dynamat and seals so I guess this is the next step, but you need to be able to hear stuff from inside your truck like sirens, horns, etc..

Jasmine ( if that is your real name, and you are not just a chatbot), How do you turn off the Active Noise Cancellation in the 2019 Rams with the V8 engine?

Why do car manufacturers think Active noise cancellation is a good thing

I Just want to know why car manufacturers think Active Noise Cancellation is such a good thing, when many people have such bad reactions to noise cancellation. Just google noise cancellation nausea, noise cancellation ear pressure, noise cancellation sickness......there is a large percentage of the population that has an adverse reaction to noise cancellation.

My son happens to be one of those people. We test drove a 2019 ram and as soon as we shut the doors for the test drive he immediately said that he could tell it had noise cancellation before I even put the truck in drive. He actually got sick within 10 minutes.....

He has the same issue with the latest version of the chevy suburbans and GMC yukons...if he rides in one of them for more than 5 minutes he gets sick.

I am having a hard time finding a vehicle that doesn't have active noise cancellation. So far the only one I can find is the lower trim level Ford Expeditions.....which I really don;t want to buy, but I might have to since it is one of the few new vehicles that doesn't make him sick.

So no Ram for this family until Dodge gives us a way to turn that shit off!!!!

Wow. Just when you thought that they couldn't put anything else more useless or annoying in a truck. You guys in the '19s better look out. You might be getting a 10,000 mile rectal exam when you least expect it. After all, why shouldn't your truck be checking you for polyps? Might save your life.

If you put Megadeth on an turn the UConnect up to 38, can you still hear the sound? If not...problem solved.

Which got me thinking. Why does my UConnect volume go to 38, and not just 10. Is it like a Spinal Tap thing?

Mine goes to 40, but I'd never go that high. I'm not an artilleryman so I'm not deaf, and Megadeth is on the light end of my music library

Mine does the same, I just drove it 2000 miles and about 100 times i thought one of my windows got rolled down but it was just a loud whirring sound from the passenger side of my truck.
