Purchased my RAM 1500 a couple of months ago and window sticker says it has a 32 gallon gas tank. I've filled up about 4 times and each time I waited until the low fuel warning message displayed. But when I fill up, I have never had to put in more than 26 gallons. Are there really 6 gallons still in the tank when the low fuel warning comes on?

I just picked up my truck on friday and filled up for the first time today with the gauge reading 70 miles left.. Based on what i've been reading on these forums i did not expect to fill 25 gallons. Glad i didn't try to stretch it. i will have to run until empty to see how accurate my gauge actually is.So that all of us who are used to how the fuel gauge works will push it too far and run out of gas

Thats normal for trucks with the 32 gallon tank. FCA is going to release a software update to correct it, suppose to be in the first quarter of this year.
