I have a 95' dodge ram 1500. The engine is getting tired, it has 253,000 mi. on it. Sometimes when I come to a stop the idle drops down and I have to feather the gas alittle to keep it from stalling. Is there an adjustment somewhere that will kick up the idle a bit?

Yeah, but it's "recommended" that you don't take the small knock out plug out of the throttle body, passenger's side, and turn the screw.

But at this point I think "recommendations" are out the window with 253K on the clock.

It's supposed to be factory preset for the computer to compensate for the idle, but the way I see it is what's the difference if you were holding your foot slightly on the pedal...or just turn the screw.

Thanks, I'll try that knockout plug and see if anything happens with that. If not, then I'll have to live with it until I get it rebuilt or it dies. Which ever comes first!!!
