Bought the McCaughys lowering kit for my 04 quad cab, the kit was a 4/6 drop, I replaced all of the ball joints but the lower ball joints are hitting the inside of the rim. I'm not sure if they are the original wheels but they are 17" chrome factory ram rims. I bought the ball joints from auto zone and are same length as originals.
any one have any ideas?

yeah i'm just going to throw some 20 or 22's on it any way but was wondering if anyone ran into this.

same thing happened to my brothers 05 quad cab, he lowered wit 4 and 6 kit using spindles and springs upfront and flip kit for da rear, you will need at least an 18" wheel for it to clear the bj if u used spindles reason being is by using spindles u pushed the wheel up making it closer to ur ball joint so a 17" wheel will not have enough clearance to clear it, buy a set of 20" or 22" and u should be good!
