Lug Nut Question

I couldnt get any sockets ( Standard or Metric ) to fit the factory cladded lug nuts and had to hammer on anything and fight to get them out of the wrench.... I ordered new lug nuts which specify they work for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500.
The new lug nuts are skinnier and a little longer which is ok with me but the seat is what my question is for, it is the same 60 degree seat and due to the slimmer size they set about 1/16 to 1/8" lower into the aluminum wheel where the fatter factory lug nuts sat up higher due to the size ( you can see on the lug nut where they actually contact the wheel so its really not doing anything with the excess nut exposure, I just want to know if these lug nuts are ok as they are ?
Took it for a spin last night and rechecked, all stayed tight with no issues.

My 2011 RAM 1500 had the 22mm lugs with the chrome caps. Those are junk IMO. The caps either fall off or get rust under them and swell, making the 22mm socket unusable. I bought some solid chrome lugs that are an exact match. No more issues. Me personally, I don't understand why the manufacturer would cheap out on lug nuts. Heck, I've even had to chisel off lugs from my fiancee's Jeep.

It really doesn’t look ideal to me, they don’t have the “bulge”. I bought the Gorilla brand chrome plated “bulge” lugnuts and they have been perfect and reliable for the past 10 years. I bought Gorilla lugnuts for my trailer recently, and got a fantastic price for a full set of 24 on eBay.

Edit: I just realized every vehicle I own actually have the Gorillas on them - 2014 Ram, 1968 Mustang, 2021 Mustang Mach-E, 6’ x 12’ dump trailer, and the last one I sold - 2007 SRT8 Charger! Highly recommended.
