malfunction indicator lamp switching on and off?

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8 that just received a oil change, new battery, and a/c charge. I now noticed that the malfunction indicator lamp stays on after the bulb test when switching the ignition to the accessories setting. If left in this position the light flashes a few times and remains on. Once the engine is turned over the light goes off and runs fine, the light has not come back on while the truck is running. Additionally, I have stopped and the auto parts store to get any codes read and none were found, I also checked for codes by switching the ignition on/off 4 times and none were found "-----" was displayed.

Is this something to be worried about or perhaps I never noticed this was the standard way the lamp worked before...?
