Hello, So I am doing the MDS delete on my truck because I have suffered the cam/lifter failure. Is it true that I have to use a non mds cam or can I use the OEM mds cam with non mds lifters and use a tuner to turn off mds on the PCM?

You can use the MDS cam even if you disable MDS, it would be no different than if you were stock and running in 8 cylinder mode all the time. The non-MDS cam is for HDs which have a bit lower output; the MDS cam just has a primary ramp in the lobe profile for cyl 2, 3, 5, and 8 to take up the lash in the lifters when the cylinders are deactivated.
