hi all.. new here bare with me.. question on my dash EVIC the miles reading after a while goes away... I tried checking the settings and all looks ok and with the check marks where it supposed to be...cant figure why the miles reading disapear or goes away ... its weird as sometimes is there all the time..

does anyone has seen this ??

It will go away when you set the Cruse, and the speed the cruse is set to will appear.
Sometimes mine will go blank even when the cruse is set but it never does it when I'm near a dealer to show them I am hoping its just a glitch in the evic and not a sign of a major computer issue.

Is your radio the 8.4AN? If so then there should be no change as you describe. This is what shows on mine:

Hi.. tnx for the replies.. my dash is the basic EVIC in the Express model... not the 8.4.. is not a show stopper issue.. but I wonder why sometimes it show the mileage reading and out of the sudden when I might look again a bit later... its not there..

havent check with the cruse as maust1 mention but will try and see what happen..

other that that the truck has been great...

The EVIC in Big Horn does a similar thing. When you put it in reverse and the backup camera comes on, for some unknown reason the odometer goes away. Doesn't matter if it is on trip A or B. The mileage on the trip shows, but the overall vehicle mileage goes away. If I start out and just go forward the odometer stays on. I can bring it back when it disappears by hitting the back arrow and then forward again.
Sure seems like a software issue to me.

pensfan2 .. thats what I do go back and then forward and it shows again..anyhow sometimes remain and other goes away... so it may be a glitch ... but again not a mayor issue .. I was just wondering why... I thought the P15 re-flash ( re-call ) will take care of it when I got the note and went to the dealer.. but no It didnt
