The stock box gets it's air from 2 places.
If you look at the plastic fender piece close,that the box ties too.
You'll see it gets an air feed from the top of the headlight housing,and it also feeds air up from the high pressure area in front of the front passenger side tire.
That piece of plastic leads down to the tire and is open at the bottom,so it can pull high pressure air from the front of the tire
You probably won't gain much from adding another ram air tube to a box that is already fed from 2 high pressure areas.
Changing out the corrogated style tube that goes from the box to the throttle body for a smooth tube is probably your best option.
