I've searched everywhere for an answer and haven't found it yet, that I know of. I am getting ready to install the mopar fog light kit in my 2012 SLT. Depending on where you look the kit list either 2009-2010 or 2009 and up. The only problem is the wiring directions only work for 2009-2010. Dodge decided to change the wiring up. What I've found after hours of searching and talking to local dearlers is that the wiring harness for the fogs is suppose to go in the grey connector in slot 11/16. unfortunately their is a wire in 16 and I cant locate 11. Has anyone had any luck installing these on a 2011 or more importantly a 2012 because I have a feeling dodge changed the locations for 2012. I don't have the kit yet so I cant try anything yet. I'm just trying to figure as much out now so when install time comes it will hopefully go as easy as it can. I already have the switch and sales code installed. Any help and pics of the tipm/connector would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the pic. but the connector directly below where the fuse is for the fogs doesn't look like that. Hopefully I'll get a chance to look again today and see if I can find a connector that looks like that.

Are you referring to the Lt. Gray connector on the bottom of the TIPM? Connector C4 (Often labeled 'D') ?

yeah, I still haven't had a chance to hook it up yet, hopefully today. the problem I had was I was looking at the connector directly under where the fuse is for the fogs. I found c4 and 11/16 are open so if those are the right ones I should find out today.

If C4 on your truck has no wires to 11 and 16, then the wiring DID change for 2011/12. I really need to find an updated wiring diagram. Mine covers 09/10, and I have found quite a few discrepancies in the newer trucks, so can't offer any help this case.

That is an excellent link! It clearly shows that D11 and D16 on C4 are the correct terminals on the 2012.

Did you need to get the dealer to add an option code to bring the fog lights functional?

yeah the sales code is LNJ I think. I've read that some dealers are charging up to $80 just to add the code. Didn't cost me a thing. But I do a decent amount of business through them.

heres a couple of pics, I should add that I changed my mind on using the mopar fogs and bought some hella micro FF to use instead but used the wiring harness that came with the kit. It did take some slight persuasion and a cut of the bumper bracket to get the lights to point up enough to get them aimed right. I do plan on cutting the plastic piece to fit around the lights to fill in the gaps

Thanks, that's really cool! I think I might add this to my truck. Was there a reason you didn't use the lights from the kit? And is the switch the same as the oem fog light switch (on the headlight switch knob)?

Thanks for the help....I was looking for fog light options...

The switch is the oem one. no real reason why I didn't use the fogs that came with the kit. got a good deal on the lights and thought I'd give them a shot. would of been easier mounting the lights that came with the kit. all you have to do is pop the current switch out plug the new one in, have the dealer add the sales code LNJ. you may have white plastic pins in those slots or you may have wires there. a few people have had wires in those slots and just pulled them out. you will have to pop the face of the connector up and off to be able to slide the new wires in. took about 10 min for that.

Molex connecter pin insertion/ extractor tool

here is a link that covers all the wiring for the ram trucks. It did help and I do have the fogs hooked up and working without any problems. took about 5 min to hook the wiring harness up then the lights fired right up

Do you need a special pin insertion/ extraction tool to seat the pins in the molex C4 connecter ports 11 & 16?

I installed the harness and you don't need any special tools to hook it up. The pins just snap in to the connector on the truck.

Ok, I bought the kit too, but have issues. I've got an 11' model ST. Got all the lights and switch installed , but when I got to the connector to add the wires, #11&16 already have wires in those spots. I did find a jumper under the driver side wheel well that ties into the rest of the light wiring so I'm wondering if this was factory installed. It has a part number on it and comes up as a jumper. Unfortunately I can't find any connectors to bring the kit wiring and factory jumper together. Any ideas ?

I wish I could help but I don't know why those prongs would already be taken...mine weren't (2010)
