Hello All,

I have a 2008 RAM and am looking to install a Mopar Tailgate Spoiler. It looks like I need to remove the existing plastic tailgate protective cap... any suggestions?

Not sure, thought about installing one on my truck too, but not sure if it will fit because I got the box of the truck rhino lined and it goes over the edge of the tailgate, that an I have a really hard time drilling holes into my baby.

1. spoilers are for rice burners
2. you have a truck, not just a truck, A DODGE TRUCK!!
3. dont degrade your truck like that please. if your gonna want that, buy a damn civic or something.

bmfc09 - I think you misunderstood my question, I didn't ask if I should install the Mopar spoiler or what your personal opinion is, I asked how to remove the existing protective rail cap on the tailgate.

Thanks.

I was talking about the first one from auto truck toys, but that second one is kinda cool, but not for a 3/4 tonner.

Now listen here,
1. Spoilers are not for rice burners they typically have wings, which make no sense as most of them are front wheel drive so you would need the extra down force for. . . .?
2. Spoilers are generally from the muscle car era and of course NASCAR  long live the spoiler
3. By adding the mopar spoiler, that generally comes on all 1/2 ton trucks and are even integrated right into the tailgate on the 09+ they improve fuel economy by making the airflow at the back of your truck more laminar, instead of it just being a wash back there.
4. GM, & Dodge have both being putting tailgate spoilers on there trucks for quite a few years now, so open up your eyes
5. And they also help prevent your tailgate from minor dents and dings.

Theres nothing wrong with a functional spoiler like on srt-10 or nascar trucks or even daytona's you can never go wrong with function,In my opinion.

Can't argue with function at all, looks right on the SRT-8 and Daytona's etc. even though it would be functional on my truck it would look too funny!

I agree. At least you're not installing Lamborghini doors and painting Louis Vuitton emblems all over your truck. I have to admit, everyone has their own opinions but if you like it, then do whatever you want to do to it and damn hell enjoy it!

I thought he was joking... isn't that illegal? It should be. The owner of this truck should be severely beaten - unless it belongs to a good looking female!
