Listen, BBK has by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. As far as Im concerned they can shove thier products right up their #@#$R@#. That being said, I talked to the dealership about their manifold gaskets and apparently they come separate? I also checked with O'reily and theres come in a set like I thought they would. Cuz I went to line the gaskets up and BBK provided two of the exact same gaskets, so in order to make it work one side will have shiny up and the other will have dull up. I would have figured it would be a righty and lefty not two rightys. Also anyone whose installed these shorties before did you re-use your stock bolts? just curious. Im gettin pissed and tired of this no answer BS, ill drive the truck off a cliff send the headers through someones windshield and swear off dodge and bbk for life.

You can reuse the stock header bolts provided they're in good shape; just did LTs on mine and we reused them with no issues. BBK doesn't have great customer service and some of their products do have issues, their TBs being an issue with a lot of the LX people. I don't know why you'd swear off dodge because of an aftermarket company's bad customer service, there are lots of other companies out there making better products.
what are the stock manifold gaskets? aluminum?
I don't actually know what the material is to tell you the truth. I don't think it'd be aluminum due to the difference in thermal expansion and the lower heat cycle stress that aluminum handles compared to carbon steel.
I have the BBK's and as everyone will tell you , only use the OEM Dodge Exhaust manifold gaskets, nothing else seems to last. As for bolts, mine came with nice beefy SS bolts so I used them with no problems. As far as customer service I couldn't disagree more! I had a bad weld on one of the headers right out of the box(found out after having them installed and paid for) I contacted them and not only did they send out new headers they paid the labor for the reinstall and offered me $200 merchandise credit. That was in april last year and I just got around to writing a letter of appreciation and recieved an email from the owner thanking me. Who did you deal with there, If it wasn't Ashley Hudson you need to call and talk to her, and be NICE! She was great. By the way the headers perform great. Good luck.
I havnt dealt with anyone there, nobody has answered the phone or emails. As far as gaskets I went to O'reilys and bought an OEM set. I would like to see if they can send me some nice SS bolts but mine arnt in the box. Grrrrrrrrr
If you've call over that past few weeks they're probably closed for a few weeks for the holidays, I would try again next week. Make sure the gaskets from orileys are factory mopar not an equivalent, they are separate part numbers for left and right. They don't come as a set from mopar.
Well I wouldnt think they would just close up shop during the holidays with people buying gifts n all. I looked at the picture at oreilys and it was two different gaskets. We will see this wednesday when they come in. Looks like Ill be doing the back half of the exhaust as well, I bought it with a single straight pipe and looks like its dying on me, rusted all to crap. So im gonna stick a magnaflow Y pipe and a nice Mag muffler on it.
Part #53013944aa (l) & 53013943aa (r) as mention in the link i provided.

It was just a thought as a possible reason why no one has answered, and most all people buying from them are most likely buying from distributors not directly. Going back to the beginning, is this mostly an issue with the gaskets or the headers themselves?
Well 05ram you were right lol they were closed for the holidays but by the time they finally did contact me Ive about resolved it. It was an issue with the gaskets and I dont have any bolts for it. So I bought some OEM gaskets from Oreilys, questions I have now for someone whose done these without using the BBK gaskets is did you port match your gaskets? If so what did ya use? Cuz im lookin at the holes and they are wayyy smaller than the ports on the actual header. Also, as far as a new bolt kit I found a few at the parts store but not sure if they will fit, does anyone know offhand what size the bolts are? thanks
