when i got my 07 ram i was getting almost 20 mpg on the highway no problem. but after couple months i installed a 2 inch leveling kit and i noticed the mpg take a massive drop. nearly 5 mpg and after the new 305/55/20 nitto trail grapplers i am getting around 11.8 mpg average.

I dont have any clue as to why it took a sudden harsh drop. i am using mobil 1 advanced full synthetic 5w 20 and have dual flowmaster exhaust.

Any ideas as to why this could have happened or any thing i can look at changing or replacing?

Putting a leveling kit on a vehicle raises the front end which causes more wind resistance. Instead of the wind flowing over your angled truck the truck now stands level which cause the air to not flow as nicely over it causing a resistance. Also putting larger tires on increases your rolling resistance, cutting down on fuel economy even more.

I you were to add a cold air intake and a diablosport tuner you should get a decent boost in fuel economy.

I think you have just run into the perfect storm...Your mods + the change to winter fuels combined will have a significant impact on mileage. When the summer blended fuel comes back, it will get better. But that's only part of the problem. You need to tune that HEMI and give it some more air.

You can help things a bit with a cold air intake and an exhaust. Consider getting a programmer as well to optimize the engine operating parameters.
