I'm sold on hellas. Even without the hid conversion there bright. The only reason I'm adding Piaas is cause I already have them. I plan on replacing em with the hella 500 fogs.

I didn't get a chance last night, but for sure tonite ill get some night photos.

I doubt there's a kit from hella.

I had a collection of hid ballasts and bulbs laying around from the wife's car. There ddm tuning 55w 9006 or h3. There a small hid bulb so its a perfect fit. I powered em by loping the 9006 female plug off and then wiring.em up to the switch. I also ran a 30 amp fuse inline like a standard hid kit has. Its a really simple conversion and it yeilds untold amounts of light. Ill take pics tonite.

If you want a step by step write up ill do one.

Well disregard all that talk about PIAAs being used on my ram.

according to PIAA (I emailed em directly) the best way to get the replacement lenses is 4 wheel parts online. And 50 bucks a pop, I might as well hold off and get my Hella 500 fog patterns that I was going to get anyways. At under 80 bucks for both lamps, its a better deal in my eyes...

I took way more than this, but there is about 10 pictures to put up. Enjoy, cause i sure do!

Here's just my led turns

so i head out to see what these suckers can really do. on the way my buddies sittin on the side of the road in the patrol truck, so i flew past him haulin azz to see if i could give him a bit of excitement. he honestly thought something was happening and chased me lights and siren to the gravel pit were i was aiming haha.

i aimed these up above my headlights after screwing around for a bit, because i can really get some distance out of em. this is just going to show the final aim, not distance because the light reached much further than the camera will ever capture, sorry.

just headlights

aimed hellas and heads

Thanks.

Ill give some credit to ss4luck when its done, but I'm diving into a full hvac, gauge and headlight switch led conversion to red leds. I've always stood by vleds.com for all leds, but in this measure by ss4lucks recommendations ill be getting the leds from superbrightleds.com for the fact that the twist lock wedge based bulbs are inexpensive from them. Soon...

Mine are the 500. The 500ff is sposed to be a better housing and the reflector defines the beam more that the standard 500, if that makes sense

The 500 and 700 differ basically in sizes. The 500 6 inches in diameter and the 700 is just over 7 inches. The 700 is also a bit thicker at just over 3 inches vs the 500 at around 2.5 inches. Either way there's room for an hid bulb!

ha.... where to start.

out of the 10 leds i bought, 1 was the right part. 7 were too small and 2 were too big...

so back to the website to order more and drop em an email to see if i can possible return those 9 that dont work. if not oh well... it was only 20 bucks.
