i just installed a kensun H13 bi-xeon 6000k hid conversion kit . what is happening is the hid hi and the hid low beams work fine when truck ignition is just turned to the on position . as soon as i start the truck the hid low beams stop working but the hid hi beams work fine ? can anyone help me solve this problem? i have a 2006 dodge ram both my hi and low beams are with the same bulb . my hid conversion kit is suppose to give me both hid hi and low with same bulb.

I have a newer dodge but form what I have read you may need some sort of error code eliminators or a resistor pack check out the retro fit source . Com I'm working with them I have the same issue but only on the low beam side I have a quad head light system also check out the posts on ddm Tunning too
Hi nitro, it's best to keep the issue in one thread. Then the whole issue is documented in one place.

I know I heard this one before. http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=107511&highlight=Hid is a similar if not same problem.

i figured i would get a better response if the tread was new and members can read initial tread about problem rather then having it be missed by being in a tread that is broad. no problem i understand !
Did that link help any Nitro???

in a way it did i do not have an electrical background so i see there could be a few things going on . i wish someone had the same problem i am having so they can let me know what the fix is . because i didnt buy this hid conversion kit from a local installer they beat around the issue and offer no answer to the problem. when i call kensun where these were from the tech person really cant pin point it i think they are more into selling with basic tech help. im hopeing maybe a resistor harness will work ? like i said before when i turn ignition to on they work fine but as soon as i start the truck the lights flicker once and turn off , sometimes the hid low will stay on for like 5 seconds but they turn off. my hid hi beams work fine. i do appreciate the info you had given me i hope i can find what is causing this. thank-you

My last idea is the reverse of the no highs. I think you need to look at the connection between the truck harness and the new bi-xenon harness. If you look at the troubleshooting at the bottom of this page -> http://www.headlightreviews.com/kensun-hid-kit-installaion/.

All you need is a 12v light bulb tester to check this.

Disconnect the harness from the harness
Connect one end of the lightbulb tester to a good ground.
Turn on your lows and touch the other end of the bulb tester rot each of the 3 connections on the harness. Note which of the 3 causes the light to go on.
Hit your highs and do the same thing.

Now, you know which connection is low/high/nothing( ground).

Take that info and compare it to the new harness to see if the connections match. Low/Low, high/High and ground/ground.

If not. You can move the wires in the new harness by releasing the pin appropriate pins and then moving them to where they need to be.

After this. If no one else has anything I would remove and return the lights. Then buy from someone that can support you.

i just tried a load resistor wireing harness adaptor and that did not help. someone mentioned to me that because i am useing a slim line ballest is causing the problem i need to use a digital cambus ballest for it to work . anybody have any input on this
Trout fishing was great. Sorry you lights are still messing up. These things are not always plug and play.

Do you know anyone tat can do the steps I provided??????

in ct our trout season starts every year on the 3rd sat in april. well after doing just about everything to get my hid lows to work when i start my truck i ended up getting them to work thanks to someone who sent me one resistor by mail. i ended up connecting the resistor to the stock headlight plug low beam positve and to the negative wires.i went to the truck started the truck and now i have both my hid low and high beams when truck is running with no other problems . thank-you
What was the resistance and wattage of that resistor???

Yes, first Saturday for trout here. Was great. Fished 3 days before opening on delayed harvest waters. Then limited on Saturday before leaving. Cooked my mom a nice trout dinner on Sat evening as she was on the way home. Then cruised home Sunday. For years I use to leave trout at mom and dad's but there is no dad anymore so I cooked and ate with her instead.

Special times to remember the past ,also I think that resistor was a 50 or 55 watt 6 ohms resistor . I only needed one for everything to work .
I am thinking that the two resistors I have on my harness are 6 ohm 50 watt or bigger. Mine are gold with fins.

To bad it was such a rough trail to get there. I sure do like mine.

Can someone give me the dummies guide to do this please??? I dont know about wiring but just ran into same problem i only have lows though cuz i didnt want hi's. i dont even know what resistor looks like.
If you have a 2015 RAM this is all you need. After watching the video, I ordered the modules, installed them, now my lights are working as expected.

Nitro1965 WHAT TYPE OF RESISTOR DID YOU USE? IM EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM
Same issue

What resistors are they? I'm having the same issue with my led conversion , thanks
