Hello all,
I have had an ongoing issue that is driving me crazy. I had an 02 sensor so i changed the sensor and the code remained(tried all the brands of sensors). Shortly turned into 4 02 sensor codes and a random misfire code. I replaced the plug wires and the misfire code is gone (for now). The truck has been bogging down like is is missing and even stalled once. After a few moments it will run perfectly fine but still have all the 02 sensor codes. It only does the bogging maybe once a month but it has been more often as of late. I have changed plugs 5k ago, wires yesterday and EGR valve day before. I have an 07 SBSC 4X4 5.7 with a stock Hemi love the truck but Im fed up. Any advice would be great. I get all my info from you guys. If nothing can be done I will have to go the the dealership and no one wants to do that.$$

Have you checked all the wiring going to the O2 sensors? Maybe one or more of them melted or split apart or something which is why changing your sensors didn't get rid of the code. I would start with that....

For the bogging, have you tested for MAF sensor and all the vac lines?

I had a similar problem with an 99blazer and maf sensor was bad. Replaced some dry rotted touch and they crumble vac lines too.

As for the 02 code, I'd be stumped too. Like ^^ said, check all the connections.

like they posted earlier check the wires but don't forget to unplug the connectors and make sure both of them are in good shape. electrical grease would help too. did you consider that maybe your cats are plugging or have failed?

I read it because it sounded familiar, then I got to MB Power Wagons post and it hit me. Here was mine below:

The wife had a vehicle (not a Dodge and codes for 02) changed the sensor cured the mechanical problem but not the code. Checked my catalytic converter and completely stopped up. Put a new one on and cleared the codes and it worked.

Try chasing what MB states above on the cats. R...

thanks for the reply guys i did check the wires and i could find no damage. I too was curious about the cats but not sure on how to check those. maybe ill have to get an off road y pipe with no cats...i wish. If it wasnt for state inspections I would. Anyway does anyone know of a way to test cats?

This could work if its fallen apart inside, tap the cat with a rubber mallet and see if it rattles inside. I heard that's one way to check. The s10s and blazers and infamous for this.
