Hey Ram Fans,

My truck is nearing the 100k miles mark and I was wondering if anyone here had any idea of what a tune-up would consist of and if anyone has done the tune-up themselves. Would like to save me some money by not going to the dealer to get this done?:smileup:Any pointers and advice is appreciated! My truck has the 5.7Hemi and 8spd transmission 4x4.

By tune up I assume you just mean spark plug change right? Back when distributors were used you had to change points and wires, but that's a thing of the past now.

Get one of these:

And the plugs only cost about $60 for all 16, at least they did last Thanksgiving when I did mine

just got 16 oem replacement plugs off amazon for $68. going to replace them on my dads 2011 hemi in the next couple of days.. maybe i should order one of those swivel sockets before we attempt it. seems pretty straight forward though.

Make sure you get the iridium plugs for your RAM. They are the 100k plug used in some late 13s and all 14 up Hemis
