I just paid my 2003 ram 1500 quad cab off and the a/c compressor clutch failed, so there is no by pass for the serpentine belt. so i forced a smaller belt on until I can get the a/c, same day, I go for a ride and check guage's light come's on and the volt meter drop's like it was shut off, and the temp. was pegging, anyway I get home put the scanner on it and the Iat high imput shot. I am pretty handy around engine's, it doesn't seem like that can be the problem, Iat volt's 4.8 volt's to the ecm. I am thinking that forcing that belt on has to be the problem, matbe because the tensioner is not being used. Any thought's would sure be appreciated. Thank's, Bill
