would look for horizontal grill inserts, black ones or paint them black and keep the grill itself chrome.

your truck looks great!

i think it would look best with the black honeycomb grill and paint the grill shell black. i prefer everything blacked out.

I liked the blacked out look too but, honestly I like it the way it is. When I first saw the pic I did a double take bc the chrome made it pop a bit!! nice truck

my 8 cents anyway...

I'm not a fan of the blacked out look - been done, redone, overdone and done again and everybody's got t-shirts to prove it. There's only one Darth Vader! So - I'd go with the black inserts (bars or honeycomb) but keep the chrome surround for a bit of pop!

The chrome grill inserts are an eye sore to me with all that black... I say get some black inserts and paint the badge.

My truck is mineral gray though but this is what I did to my grill [plasti-dip].
This is what I was first going to do but I'm not too sure on how the matte black look is going to go with a glossy black finish.. Gray looks good with it but I don't know about the black

I am trying the black plastidip idea now and going to keep the inserts the same and will be also doing the ram emblem red to match the other emblems.. will post pictures either tonight or tomorrow.. If It doesn't look too good can always removed the plastidip !

Exactly right, if you don't like it, plasti-dip just the honeycomb and leave the "cross hair" chrome. You can paint the plasti-dip as well, it will still peel off, just have to be wary of paint chips and such. But once it get's bad enough just redo it lol Looking forward to seeing how that turned out!

I went through a shop called retro solutions for my custom painted one of a kind lights. You would be surprised the quality and price of the custom lights.

I'm still considering using them for doing a set for me as well. They're a great company and their quality of product is amazing. Not to mention the prices are extremely reasonable for what you get.

Mad Cow I would love to do the same but I'm not sure if the halos that I plan to get would fit with that setup inside the light.. Picture is a green one but will be getting WHITE.. I plan on putting these white halo squares in those black headlights I posted before

Looks great! Painting that badge to match the rest was a smart move. And if your not a fan of that matte black on the grill you can put a layer of gloss over it, either way great job

Thx.. It was defiantly the touch I wanted.. Plastidip makes a gloss don't they?

You have your retro fitted correct ?.. If so can you please check and see if there would be enough room to also fit those halo squares ?.. I'm just thinking maybe they won't because of the new shroud for the projectors or something not to sure
