I want to add a lift kit to my 2005 1500 reg cab long bed and im not sure what i want. I know i want atleast a 3" and i was planing on going with the 3" form RC because i was told that puting on aa 6" would be a bad idea because i got the 3.7l v6. I want to fit atleast 35" tires but im not sure what would fit without any problems. I have 17" AR Fuel rims that have 265/70/17 tires on them. So would 33"/12.50 or 35"/12.50 fit or no.

Welcome to the list. Usually several people on here who are quick with answers, don'rt know where they are at. Maybe Christmas shopping??? Sorry, but I can not help you on this one. Not in to lifting, mine is already to high. Any more and I would need an elevator to get in. ;-)

If you haven't figured it out yet post in the section w/ the v8 guys who have 3rd gens, the lifts will be the same as long as it's a 2wd kit. I'm pretty sure the 33's will fit w/ a 3" lift, 35's is gonna really make the truck feel like a dog unless you regear to something like 4.88's or 4.56's in the rear end. Is your truck an auto or manual?
