Quick question, is it necessary to d/c the shocks from the axle/frame to swap leaf springs or can the stay connected?

Should be able to leave the hooked up.

You might have to disconnect them from one side or the other depending on if the axle is on top or under the springs, but you shouldn't have to completely remove them.

makes the job easier to disconnect them. then you are not fighting the shock when trying to line things up

makes the job easier to disconnect them. then you are not fighting the shock when trying to line things up

and just unbolt the bottom, can leave the top connected. Otherwise the axle may not drop enough to remove the springs.
