Ok I have a 2005 Ram 1500 with 5.7L hemi. I went a 14.77 on street tires with a 93 octane tune from my Diablo Trinity. I was only at 4200 through the traps and no traction off the line. I wanted to get closer to running under 14 so I put in an 8.75" rear-end I had with 4.86 gears, threw on some slicks & headers, and now ran a 14.02 yesterday at 96.7mph. Problem is that it is shifting into overdrive WAY to soon. Like around 5200 to 5300. I have turned the overdrive button on and off and it had no difference on the track. Overdrive kept coming in early. I found on the trinity where I can change the 1-2 shift point and the 2-3 shift point, but cannot find anywhere to delay the overdrive kicking in. There is no reason I should not be able to set the 3rd gear to overdrive change at at least 5800. What should I do? I should be hitting the 1/4 mile at about 5600-5700 in third gear and not a lower rpm in overdrive. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Also, I thought if there was not a way to change the overdrive shifting from the computer that I might be able to unplug an overdrive sensor on the transmission to physically/mechanically keep it from kicking in?
