hey guys getting ready to pick up a new 2018 ram 2500 laramie.

i brought it home for the night, to puppy dog it and make sure its the right truck.

i am in LOVE! this thing is awesome, but it pulls to the right.

i have noticed or read that lot of people have had this issue. is it a easy fix for the dealer? do all of them?

before i sign my name to a $71K truck i want to feel right about it.

Make them fix it before you even think of buying it. There is a thread on here from a new owner with a 4WD problem with a brand new 1500, they said it was a simple reflash needed, and it has been in the shop for 10 days or more and still isn't fixed.

Have them check the alignment and swap the front tires side to side as a start. But I would NOT sign anything until it goes straight. Don't let them tell you "all 2500's pull slightly due to the solid front axle" because they don't. Mine goes straight with 40000 miles on it.

A brand new truck that pulls to the right, or does anything at all but run straight as an arrow, has something wrong with it.
Don't "fall in love" with a truck that has something wrong with it. Get your emotions under control and tell the dealership that when that truck doesn't have something wrong with it, you'll buy it.
Otherwise, you won't.

Trust me, you won't be sorry. There are plenty of new trucks in the world that don't pull right or in any other direction.

yeah I never planned on purchasing until correct. I was just more or less inquiring if it is a known issue. hopefully will be a quick fix. they are putting on alignment rack to make sure set correctly and steering wheel is set to 0.

already been back to dealer first thing this morning.

There's nothing about a solid axle or IFS setup that will inherently make it pull to the right. Use it as leverage not to buy it until they align it-after all that's why you asked to take it home first right?
