Bought a 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie last year, and Friday night the battery light came on. I died before I got home. Swapped the battery, same light. Changed the alternator, and again died on the road. Ideas? Info? Help?! I need to be able to drive 60-75 miles/day, and I can’t get 15 without dying right now.

New battery and new alternator. Then swapped each again after testing to make sure they were good.

Sounds like the battery is not getting charged. The PCM controls the charging (voltage regulator is in the PCM). Have you checked the voltage at the battery when it is running?

Voltage at the battery when running is 12.97 as if the alternator doesn’t work. But it bench tested just fine
