New CB Radio Install Location

I attached some pics of the new CB location. I like it a lot better than where it was before (pic attached). If you're wondering why the CB isn't flush with the Alpine, it's because the CB is too deep, but it is as far in as the truck will let it go. The new stereo is an Alpine 50W x 4 In-Dash CD Deck with Detachable Faceplate. The CB is a Cobra 29 WX NW ST with a hood mounted 4' Firestik Antenna. I really like the way the truck is turning out. I attached a pic of my new LED Third Brake Light from Putco and a current pic of truck with it's new chrome accents and the window tint. I like the third brake light a lot, it's really bright and it goes great with the Recon Xtreme lightbar and will go great with some Recon LED Taillights.

Next on the block:
Recon Clear LED Taillights Part #264179CL
Eventually upgrade the factory speakers and Dynamat the doors

It's pretty flexible. I don't worry about it too much anymore. The mount itself is extremely secure. I'll take the antenna off if the weather is really bad, but other than that it's fine.

I'm so glad you didn't magnet mount the antenna in the middle of the hood like the rednecks around here do!

Haha. I haven't heard too many good things about the magnetic mount. I like the hood mount, it's a nice clean mount and it's easily accessible.

I used to have a Cobra like yours and later a Galaxy 33 with a K40 mounted on the bed rail. Both were very good radios.

That probably looked really good mounted there. What did you use the CB for? I use mine for deer huntin', traffic/weather, and to occasionally see how the truckers are doing. haha

What's stopping you? They are so much fun. A nice Cobra unit would look great in your truck.
They really are a lot of fun. So many of my friends are truckers, I love listening and talking with them on the highway, they really crack me up sometimes, lol, but cb's and truckers are great for something else (shhhh) they always alert you to where the cops are! :D
