So I just checked on Edges website resently and found that they now make a programmer for the 5.9 Magnum! I'm not sure if they've had it out on the market for a while or not, but I'm thinking about getting one.

Only problem is that it says it's for 1998-2003. . . . and i have a 96.

Is this thing still going to work? Why would it be any different for a 1996? Did they have some change outs or something? I thought there wasn't much change for the 5.9's through the years?

Anyway, just wondering if you guys knew anything about this.

I think 98 and up have the OBD2 setup, where the 97 and older have the OBD1. I could be wrong though.

All vehicles made after January 1st 1996 are required to have OBDII (you learn something new every day)

So it has to be some year bias here or something. I found SCT Programmers that work for the 96, but it looks like they're a bit pricier than most, and you have to have a shop custom tune them. Not sure if my local shop can do that.

I'll have to dig into it a little deeper. It's definitly weird that they wouldn't make them for 1996+
