This weekend I decided to change my oil being that I hit the 10000 Mile mark last week. I was using Amsoil Signiture 5w20 But being I Have an 05 (pre MDS) I decided to switch to 5w30 just as personal preference. Ive been using WIX OEM filters but being my going to extend my intervals i decided to switch to a Amsoil filter as well and found that The filters for the 80's ford 351s would fit on a Hemi. This would be WIX number 51515 or Amsoil EAO015. The plus with this as you can see with the picture below is it is a full quart filter as opposed to the 1/2qrt dodge filter. For the same price you get more filter area, another 1/2 qrt of oil volume, and it also flows exactly like the Dodge filter. Just thought i would share my discoveries in case anyone would like to do the same.

Hey thanks for sharing, good to know. Since I also am using the Signature series for extended drain, I also have switched from Wix to the Amsoil filter.

No problem Bruce. But I dont think that filter will work on the 4th Gen truck being that they went from the 3/4 SAE thread fr the filter on my truck to the 22mm Metric threads on the 4th gen.

If your interested I can do some looking an see if they make something comparable for the 4th gens as well.
