Hello all. Thanks for having us! We are a couple in Richmond, VA with a 99 Ram Van 1500 3.9 and she won't stop SQUEALING! Just replaced the idler pulley and the serpentine belt--but we know there are so many more components this noise could be coming from. Seems to MOSTLY happen while the AC is turned on and the van is going under 50 or so MPH. When we accelerate to higher speeds (60+) the noise will diminish for the most part, but does come back for spurts here and there. It doesn't ONLY happen when AC is on, we will hear it faintly from time to time when the AC is not on. We can run the fan to blow outside air and don"t hear it either. Another trigger is turning the wheel to make very sharp turns--but as long as the AC is not on it will go away when the wheel straightens out. We were thinking it is the power steering pump, but were hoping to get some advice from seasoned Ram owners before we spend the money to do that only to discover it wasn't the problem. Thank you in advance!

with a van it is not the easiest thing to do, but you may need to fashion a stethoscope out of something, like a cut off broom handle held against the suspected source & your ear, using your thumb & fore finger for protection of your ear.
The noise will carry down that piece of wood quite easily
