Well i'm pretty happy, decided to take the truck down the strip tonight to see if i could beat my old personal best of 15.2 @ 92.. And after a few 15.1's, my last run i finally got a 15.09 @ 93.95 mph!

Truck is a 2010 ram 1500 crew cab 4x4 with the 3.55 gears and a magnaflow muffler. So im quite impressed for such a heavy truck! :smiley_thumbs_up:

Thanks! I sure hope so lol. Figure im one mod away from 14's

I figure i will do my go fast mods in the summer and get the best time before i replace these tires for some bigger ones o_O

Thats where I started. You will get the mod bug..... I know I did :smileup:

if you haven't done so yet..an aftermarket Y pipe will put you in the 14's... or, a 180 tstat...

Same ET my 64 GTO ran with a 389 tri-power, 4 speed, 3.42 posi, fantastic! And about 2000lbs less weight than your truck.:smileup:
isn't it something how new technology and engineering have really improved how todays vehicles perform? I was talking with my neighbor across the street awhile back..he has a late 60's gto in his garage that he's built (sounds beastly), i asked him how quick he thinks it is and he thought low 14's... he's watched me work on my truck alot and asked me about mine and about fainted when I told him it's best run is 12.10...he was like WWHHHAAATTT!!!!!

I remember when i first started modding..watched what everyone else did and did all the little stuff first (muffler, cai, tuner)...truck really loved it...then little by little little things popped up (Like someone locally sellin coated lt headers dirt cheap..), 180 tstat... then found someone sellin a 6.1 cam with springs for $100 (he never installed on his and it was the only cam choice at the time)...with that combo i hit the track for the 1st time and ran 15.0's/14.9's.... then decided to buy dr's and universal slappers and watched my times drop to 14.4's/14.5's... then tried weight trimming and a shortbelt and like that I was running 13.9's (I still remember the 1st one, I was runnin up and down the staging lanes like a lil kid, lol)... and funny thing was, I told myself and everyone else, "Once I hit 13's, I'm done modding"...hehe, rrriiiggghhttt!!! .... by then people were starting to come out with custom ground cams and i picked up the Spartan (before it became off the shelf)....I quickly dropped to mid 13's... shortly after I installed a tq verter and bv heads and along with custom tuning got to 13.0's and finally cracked the 12.x barrier back in november (with over 200k miles on motor)... after which I decided, what the heck, let's spray the bad boy (I swore i would never do it...) since my last goal was to reach 12's on motor anyways... now that I'm at 12.1 i have this itch to get 11.x's which hopefully is easy enough by upping the pills... i guess what I'm sayin is that it never ends altho I'm satisfied that all the major stuff is done and now it's only tweaking and little things here and there... my truck is very quiet and stealthy as a daily driver and almost every other truck with an aftermarket muffler/exhaust is almost always louder than me, and why I surprise all of them when they wanna try to run me on the street or the track...

This truck won't be for racing lol. I would like to just hit 14's but don't think that will happen anytime soon. Placed my order on some 305/55/20 Cooper zeons and the bilstein 5100's to level it. Shouldn't slow me down TOO much but certainly won't help my times lol.

Later down the road I'm planning for an intake, y pipe and a tune. Those mods should throw me into the 14's even with the slightly bigger tires.

All the truck has is the mufflex 14 on it. Other then that its launching just under 1000 rpm to keep the torque management down and then floor it, puting it in manual mode to have it shift into 2nd prime.

Truck isn't as quick now with the leveling kit and bigger tires. Looking into some mods to get it atleast back to where it was.

Looking for a diablo tune, intake and y pipe. Hoping with those mods to get into 14's, even with the bigger tires.

Great mod for sure, but a very expensive one as well (4x4 and want a LSD)... That will have to come later down the road. Would love some 4:10's and a LSD but that's a few grand to get all that done (dealership quoted me $5200 last year to go to 3.92's 0_0 ). For now I will have to stick with some cheaper mods and hope they can do the trick.

I figure a diablo with a 91 tune and an intake should liven the truck up quite nicely. I'm already trying to figure out how to get those two past the wife lol. Saving up for a house right now. I barely got out alive with the tires and leveling kit lol.
