i have an 07 ram 1500 guad cab 4x4 hemi. recentely ibe been getting a popping/raddle when going over bumps. seems to be on the drivers side. i have repolaced the sway bar link, tie rods and ball joints all seem ok, i am a mechanic so ive gone over the basics. everything seems tight. and the warmer it is the worse it is. so um a little confused. all i can think of is the bushing in the struts. ive also read it could be the sterring shaft? which i have inspected and does have a jiggle is this normal for dodge?.

any help with be greatly appreciated.

just a few thoughts

Are you sure the noise is drivers side only? That is what I thought until I rode in the passenger seat. I bought my 04 2500 with 12 miles on it. Currantly my truck has 166,000+ on it, and the front end has made noise you describe on both sides from day one. I have asked many techs and mechanics about this and was told repeatedly it is normal for Gen 3 Rams to sound like that. When I asked why, no one seemed to know. If the noise you describe is on both sides, as long as you're greesed, no obvious signs of damaged or warn parts, your alignment is good and your truck handles well, save yourself some money and call it a Dodge thing. Good luck.
