I'm not sure about a 2005 but the newer trucks have electronic traction control, and what you describe sounds like it to a tee. It's designed to keep you from losing control on the highway if one or more wheels begin to slip by transferring power from the spinning wheel and/or applying the brakes. Is there a button on your dashboard to turn it off?Just had a quick question trying to see if maybe I'm just completely inept or there's something wrong with my truck of if there's a built in limiter keeping me from doing it but for the life of me 2 or 4wheel drive I can not get my back end to break loose and do dounuts in the mud it's more like squares for me the back end breaks loose mud starts flying then no power then back end brakes loose again then no power this is all withought moviving the gas pedal or even tried just mashing it to the floor and holding it there same thing! I have a 2005 Hemi 4x4 I know I've got the power it's just not letting me use it it seems like. Any advice????
