Hello I have a 2003 dodge ram 4.7 single cab short bed. I have 22" srt10 wheels ,Lund bed cover. I have a cold air intake, airram power wire, airram scoop, and transmission pressure booster. Exhaust is run lightning style out passenger side with no muffler. Just looking for best setup to drag race.

It would probably be better to get some smaller wheels (17's) with stickier tires, ditch the bed cover, tailgate and any unnecessary weight. It would be easy to install muffler and exhaust cut outs before the muffler. I would also look into getting a tune. just my 2 cents

Sheading any weight you can is a good thing. If this is a daily driver ur trying to drag then it'll be hard to shead a lot of weight. Tire and wheel size is another big thing.

no muffler sounds like crap IMO. if you want cool side exit exhaust that sounds sick on a 4.7 get the gibson super truck cat back. i loved it on my 4.7....but you would never see me use 4.7 and drag race in the same sentence, that truck was S L O W slow.

Superchip it! Best mod for the 4.7 period.

As far as muffler vs no muffler. Youre not really gonna feel much difference either way. it might pull a little better in the higher RPMs without the muffler, but not enough to really make it worth while (noise would be unbearable IMO).

good luck

P.S. Ditch the 22s
