i recently put on a volant CAI. it has changed the sound of the truck very nicely. when i am cuising in the city and it goes to mds the truck makes a very low rumble, if i give it a bit of pedal, not enough to take it out of MDS, it goes away. let off and it comes back. any thoughts?? i am considering putting the stock air filter back on to try to see if it is a TC issue.
it has 2500 kms

I don't mean to hijack your thread but where were you able to get a Volant for the 2012 year? I would try what you said about going back to stock to see if the noise goes away.

i used the 2011 volant, it takes some fooling about to get it to fit 90%.

I notice on my Stock truck, the ECO light comes on then a few seconds later I can here the Drone of 4 cylinders running, if I step on the gas a little more, drone goes away, sounds like its running on 8cylinders but it still says ECO. Its almost like the light comes on before it actually goes into 4cyl and stays on for a bit even with 8cyl going, unless you push down more then it goes out right away.

my 12 Tradesman does the exact same thing, I'm thinking it's the tq converter.I will probably take it in except as I get more miles (4500) the problem appears to be not as bad as when new. By the way most of my mileage is hw at 65-75.

are you stock on aire cleaner and exhaust?
