How bad is it leaking? I know that if it is minor they will not cover it under warranty. My dealer changed a valve cover gasket that was leaking and later told me that FCA would not cover it but they did it for customer satisfaction and did not charge me anything. Do you know what exactly is leaking? I am not knowledgeable of the 3.6 so I don't know how hard it is to change anything on the engine. Is the filter readily accessible or is it hard to get to? I definitely would not pay $1100 to get it fixed. I would try an independent repair shop to see of they were cheaper.

Intake manifold has to come off but called another dealer and the service advisor ran the vin and said it would be covered so I dropped it off this afternoon.

Good for you on finding a dealer that would cover it under warranty. So this means you will never go to that first dealer you contacted right? :)

I went to the first dealer that is farther away because they had the first available appointment for the cruise recall.

40,000+ miles on my 3.6L and no leaks.

It should be covered under the powertrain warranty pretty clearly
