What’s up people so my trucks been running what i feel like is to warm. Driving freeway 210 ish and towing a little 20’ travel trailer sits at 220-228 is this normal?

Please provide specs on your truck...engine, gear ratios, etc....

I have a 2016 bighorn with 3.92 axel ratio...when I tow my 20 foot travel trailer I see 220-230...no trailer 205-215 freeway driving...

engine oil is good up to way higher than those temps, and you actually want it to get over 212 so that it will drive off the moisture and push it through the pcv system. mine usually falls right in line with the coolant temp after having a while to run and equalize, under heavier loads it will tend to creep up but ive never had it to the point i would worry about it, our trucks are thermostatted @210 for coolant so id expect oil temps to mimic that, oils typically happy operating between 220-250 degrees

You're fine. If it was 230 without a trailer then I'd might be a little concerned. But even my oil temp was at about 205 yesterday driving home and I wasn't pushing her much at all. It was 52 degrees out here then. So no worries. Just keep up with your oil changes and all will be well.
