My truck only overheats when hot outside. Heater core in n out hose both hot but no heater. Have flushed, new water pump, even took out thermostat. Why is it overheating? Fan belt driven. No leaks, oh yeah... Gurgling in heater core when push gas pedal (air in system).
So I know the heater core is getting flow. Would it be a clogged heater core or radiator causing overheating? Also with hc getting hot water why no heater worky worky?

Removing the thermostat is not an answer to a problem. Re-install a Quality stat, and start from there. Rent a radiator-pressure tester from one of the discount stores. Check to see the system holds pressure. Test the radiator cap! Lets go from there.
