Hey all,

This is a new one for me... I have never even heard of this happening to others. I got in my truck this morning to move it around my driveway, and the parking brake pedal is stuck in the "Up" position. I use my parking brake every day, as to not apply unwanted extra strain on the parking pawl in the trans.

Can anyone shed some light on potential causes of this? "14 Ram 2500

Weird, I also use my parking brake every time I park and have never heard of this. The mechanism is pretty exposed under the dash up to the point that the cable goes through the cab under the driver's side. The only thing I can think of would be an actual physical blockage somewhere.

I am not entirely sure how the parking brakes are set up on the HDs, but on the 1500s is is a drum setup inside the rear rotor hat. If you can't find anything in the cab, that's the next place I'd look-maybe something broke off and won't let the cable pull tight
