PCV oil baffle

What does it look like under the PCV valve, where does the PCV pull it's vapors from? I'm assuming from the block since the PCV is in the intake manifold. I'm wondering if there is some sort of baffle in there. Reason I am asking is I installed a catch can on my 13 1500 5.7, and I have to empty it at least every fill up. I just did 200km and checked it, it was 3/4 full, and the oil looked clean almost like it was straight out of the bottle. I'm not seeing any blue smoke, my breather in the air filter is dry and not oily. Why is my PCV sucking up so much oil? PCV valve was changed right before I installed the catch can.
