Anyone have any experience with a non leveling performance shock for the 4th gen 1500? What did you use?

I'm getting a lot more wheel hop that I would prefer...

I see bilstein offers a 4100 series, are there others? I assume installation doesn't require dropping the lower A arm?

Thx.

I've put bilsteins on my '02 durango w/ addco sway bars and it handled amazing on the expressway. I put some on my '96 ram and they helped with body roll alot. Awesome on a smooth highway but SUCK at absorbing rough roads!!!! I'm enjoying the smooth ride from my new longhorn and think I'll try oversize swaybars for improving body roll but am not going with a rough shock.

Just installed a set of Rancho RS5000's on my 09 QC. RS5368 front & RS5367 rear. Unbelievable difference from stock. The truck feels planted to the ground. No more bouncing and swaying.

Seth,

What are you looking to accomplish with new shocks?

I'm betting that TLC will do the trick - and then some.

John,
I'm looking for faster rebound and more aggressive damping. I typically drive an empty truck and am frequently hauling the mail on the freeway. Speed limits here are 70 and hitting 80 isn't a stretch. On crappy pavement, I'd like better control of that heavy 20" wheel.

What do you suggest?
