I'm happy now,
But my crapberry phone doesn't take a very good picture.
I may have to break out my actual camera next time to get better focus and less glare due to the increase light output.

can't wait to upgrade those yellow halogen fogs now too!

Hey BlackRamHemi, can you tell me what kelvin these bulbs are? Looks like you are using the 35w ballast too right?

Those pic's were OEM lamps with 35w/5000k 9012 drop-in kit ($150)

The new TYC replicas with FX-R upgrade
...but with D2S 35w/5000k bulbs.

35W/5000k (Low Beam and Fogs)

The New FX-R's are amazing,
even when the sky is still blue just before sundown.

After dialing the aim down a little later on, a little darker out

and with 35w/5000k fog HID's

It's insane how much brighter the fogs are now,
Maybe even too bright with too much scatter.

Thanks for the info, I'm gonna start with that kit and see how I like it. I plan on trying to Tetris it all behind the dust cap and hopefully I won't have to re-aim as you had to. Or maybe I will find tune the aiming before I install the HID's. We'll see. Thanks again for the info, keep up the work on the truck, it looks nasty.

I just got my kit in the mail. My xb35 is much thinner then the one in your pics and it has an external ignitor. I did not see an ignitor in any of your pictures when you had the oem heads....did they change their design. I'm hopeful I can still fit it all behind thr dust cap...

The new ballast makes stuffing it all in there pretty easy! It's quite a bit smaller than the one mike used! Just did mine earlier today for a test fit.
