I have the factory Laramie mirrors. I am waiting for the power chrome folding tow mirrors to come in as part of my original purchase (I had them add it into the price). Is anyone aware of an option where the tow mirrors power fold as opposed to manual fold? I love the look of what came on the truck but have to tow a 31' camper so kind of need tow mirrors. However, the tow mirrors will stick out a couple inches more on both sides making it hard to get into tight spaces. If the mirrors were power fold as opposed to manual fold this would be the best of both worlds. Thanks in advance for any info anyone has on this topic. Moved up from an 04 Tundra and I really love this Ram so far.

You say you are waiting for the power chrome folding tow mirrors to come in. So, you mean the power tow mirrors with manual fold?

I've heard there is a power folding mirror but can't confirm it nor do I know if it's a power folding tow mirror.

I researched this pretty well when I ordered my RAM 2500 with the Laramie package. I also wanted the power folding mirrors but, there was no option to add them. Mine are heated, power adjustable, chrome, tow mirrors with puddle lights and turn signals. They are great but they do stick out there when folded upright for towing. I never have seen an option for power folding but, somone said later it was only an option on the 3500 series. I have not seen proof its even offered on those yet.

My understanding was that there is a power folding option (but didnt see it called out when I built my truck).

This folds the mirror arms in not flip the mirror up for "towing". I cant remember where I ran across it, but I recall that between the left & right mirror selector buttons there would be a button. You would press this once to fold the mirrors in...press again to open them back up.

I wish I was at home to look at my truck. I don't know if I had that button on my truck.

I did some looking around at my 2500 brochure. There are options for the Laramie crew/mega cab. The 1st one in bold is standard. The 2nd one is options. With that being said yet the power folding is now an option. An a minimum you would need a new switch pack & mirrors...its possible the wires are already in the harness. Also a reprogram of the computer might be required.

— Power multifunction trailer tow, heated, manual folding, chrome, includes position
memory, exterior courtesy lamps and supplemental turn signal (GPC)

— Power folding multifunction trailer tow, heated, chrome, includes position memory,
exterior courtesy lamps and supplemental turn signal (GP2)

I sat at the computer while my dealer entered my order and there was no option (GP2) to choose/select, even though we saw it in the 2500 brochure also. Someone else at the dealership said it was a 3500 series only option, which does not make sense but, I would not bank on the wires being there. :4-dontknow:

Our 2008 F250 has them, just flip a switch and they fold in to pull into garage or just fold so people can walk past easier when [arked in a parking lot. It seems that Dodge would have caught up after 3 years, handy feature to have that is used daily I might add.

When I built my truck it stated that I would get "multifunction power folding mirrors" / " auto dimming exterior mirrors". when I received my truck the window sticker stated "exterior mirrors with memory". I don't have any of these.I went to the dealer today and showed him the print out of my order and the window sticker. He looked puzzeld and said there nothing he could do. He told me to phone Chrysler. What!? He also said that I was the only customer that seemed to have this issue. WTF!! How can they run a business like this. I told him to phone Chrysler and find out for me, I'm the customer here. I'll be waiting for his reply. Just so you know, I ordered the chrome towing mirrors.

Power folding mirrors are supposed to be an option for 2012...... all other years are power mirror glass/manual folding. However I don't think I would want this option as a tow mirror is like 700 bucks per side already, I can't imagine how much it would be with power fold.

Bert, you don't have mirror memory along with seat & pedal memory? Do you have the two buttons on the left side of the driver's seat?

I don't have power pedals I didn't order this as an option, and I don't have memeory buttons on my seat. Did anybody get these options on their truck? Or is Chrysler just misleading the consumer. If you build the Big horn on the web site you will see that you get exterior auto dimming mirrors, and multifunction power folding mirrors. I know that the power folding feature is kind of misleading because of the way it's worded, apparently it means power functions with manual fold.

If there was a (comma) before folder (ie power, folding mirrors...) then I would agree. Since there isn't a comma there it leads the consumer to believe the mirrors as indeed "power folding", not "power, folding".
I'm pretty sure it is power folding as there is a place to have the switch on the door panel.

Power folding mirrors

Here it is, almost a year later, and guessw what? I asked the dealer parts about power folding mirrors to be ordered on a new truck or purchased thru dealer for later install. After amost 20 minutes of computer staring and book lookup, he didn't have a clue!! Said Dodge doesn't have such a thing!! I really like my 2011 Ram, but.......

I see several articles from 2010 online that state that power folding mirrors will be new for the 2011 rams but there are also articles that state that for the 2013 "Among the new convenience features are power-folding mirrors"
