Hello, this is my first post on the forum. I just got a 2009 SLT quad cab 4X4 and love the truck! I have a minor problem I could use some help with. The "approach" LED's in the driver side mirror turn signal indicator are not working. The ones on the passenger side work fine, but the ones on the driver side do not. The actual turn signal indicator on this mirror works fine. I searched the owners manual and cannot find the dis-assembly instructions to remove the lens to see what is going on in there. Any info would be appreciated. TIA!

As for your question, try this:
"Lenses come off pretty nicely. Just use a soft bondo squeegee to get under the black trim around the edge of the mirror, pull the trim aft a bit which will allow the forward side of the lense to drop down with a slight pull, then pull the aft side of it down and slide the lense aft to disengage the lock tab up inside, remove the connector and voila!"

The housing that has those LEDs in it is a sealed unit and is best to be completely replaced than try to replace one of the individual LEDs should those be found to have burnt out... trust me. Im LED crazy and while my drive side has blue puddle lights and white blinkers, my passanger side is stock and prolly staying that way

Sadly, it must be ordered thru Dodge. My passenger side puddle lights went out recently. Same issue, water intrusion. The turn light still works, however to my dismay I cannot just replace the LED's, but rather the whole thing. Cost me $183!! And I still don't know how to get it out!
