I have a 2009 Ram Sport 4x4, driver side puddle lamp is out, the dealer says the replacement bulb is $140, has anyone replaced this on their own and did they get a better price on the bulb? Also how do you get the lense off?
do have warranty still? iv had both of mine replaced but the dealer did them usder warranty because its not just a bulb its the full bottom piece with the puddle lights and turn single all together and as for taking them off the mirror i havnt figured that out yett cuz i want to take mine off aswell and tint them
From what i understand,
rotate your mirror using the switches on the door
i forgot which way to rotate it, it is either all the way down, or all the way outwards
when the motor function stops, Take your hand & move it past the point where the motor stopped it
Behind the mirror glass, there are 4 clips
i believe that you unclip the top 2 & that allows you to see the bottom 2
Use a bit of finesse on the clips
if the mirrors rotate using the motors, you know that you have power to the mirror
the LEDs should also have power, if not, break out your Continuity Tester or a 6 - 12V Heavy Duty Circuit Tester
This is also a good time to change the color of the LEDs, if you wanted to do that
