Okay so I have a crew cab 4x4 with a Hemi 8 speed.. and am making a trip coming up. We are going to be loaded up with about 1000lbs (passengers/gear/dogs) and am thinking about getting a small 4x6 trailer. This would be loaded down with more gear and possibly a small riding mower. Will I have any issues? I am running 3.21 limit slip..

I've towed 5,000 lbs with my Dodge Magnum, with 2:82 gears. It towed fine. Use the tow/haul mode keep an eye on temp gauge, if you run 89 octane, you might try 91 to tow with. You are probably at an advantage with all those gears.

You'll be perfectly fine tallnick. You have to remember, that 8HP70 first gear is a beast at 4.71. Would like a follow up report when you get back.

No, I pull around 7,200 or so pounds all the time without any issues. Read this post about pulling a travel trailer with 3:21s.

When the 3:21 ratio/eight speed transmission first came out there was a lot of squawking about towing ability until the squawkers realized the 3:21/eight speed combo was better geared for towing than the 3:92/six speed combo.

You will be absolutely fine. The 2013 tow chart doesn't differentiate between 6 and 8 speed truck tow ratings by much, but the 2014 chart does. So basically the same truck that was rated 6800 towing in 2013 is rated at 8000 in 2014 if I remember correctly.

I have a 13 QQ 4x4 that has towed my car with no issues on several occasions.
My truck has the 3:21's and pulls the car as good or BETTER than my 09 CC 4x4 3:55 truck did.
The difference in the 13/14 ratings is the 14 trucks received a revised parking prawl which allowed for the increase in tow rating... That's my understanding of it. 13 trucks are 6800lbs and 14's are 8000lb tow rating with 3:21's
I have towed my baby 1200kms so far  31,000kms on truck so far and LOVE IT!!!!

That tow increase was for the 8HP45 that is coupled with the V6 engine. The low tow numbers for MY13 was simply they didn't know since they didn't have time to get it done. There was a strong rush-to-market.

If there are no more hick-ups, starting in MY15, tow abilities will be rated using the SAE J2807 giving real (not marketing numbers) tow numbers for all manufactures.

This. The 8HP70 was not changed, only the 8 speeds for the V6 trucks have been.
