Will the superchips FlashPaq Tuner work for my 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7l 5 speed manual? This maybe a dumb question but i dont want to get the wrong one. Here is a link to a website i found the one i want http://www.autoanything.com/performance-chips/61A2342A0A0.aspx?kc=PBEB2#community

Im on the fence about this myself to. Would like one for my 08, manual transmission as well. Seems like most of the tuners are mainly for upgrading the transmission shift points, which wouldnt do me much good... Do these tuners actually do that much to the engine?? I'm no tuner, so I think that SC would be the way to go as it seems more plug and play than most.

^For the 2008-2010 4.7L the superchips 93 tune adds like 61hp and 66lb ft. That's pretty significant. (MAX gain, not PEAK gain). I think peak is like 23hp and 35lb ft.

You won't benefit from the trans tuning like you said but the engine tuning is still worth the money for your application IMO.

For gains like that I would drop the cash. I'm pre 08 and I still think its worth the money for my 20hp and trans modification.

^yep I agree. Driving my truck (08+) with the 93 tune vs stock is almost feels like I picked up a cylinder or two.

The tuners are still worth it on the older engines, just not by as much of a margin...

I like how much they've increased the power in both engines. Just wish the 4.7L had an extra gear in the trans.
