Does anyone know what would be grinding in the rear axle cause I have this grinding in mine when I'm driving down the road so if anyone has a solution to this please let me know:doh:

I'm no expert, but I'd check the rear diff fluid level, make sure that your'e not runnin' on empty

There are number of things that can cause this. U-joints, pinion bearing(s), differential bearings, axle bearings....even the brakes can cause a grinding noise. Without having the truck to hear it first hand, it's difficult to narrow it down. Have you had a mechanic look at it? :4-dontknow:

It could be any part of the rotating equipment back there. In addition to the potentials mentioned above, check to make sure your brakes (e-brake or brake shoe) aren't dragging.
