There are number of things that can cause this. U-joints, pinion bearing(s), differential bearings, axle bearings....even the brakes can cause a grinding noise. Without having the truck to hear it first hand, it's difficult to narrow it down. Have you had a mechanic look at it? :4-dontknow:
Hey all. New here, & wanted to ask a question in regards to a Ram truck U'm looking at purchasing possibly. The instrument cluster plastic is cracked, & I was wondering if you're able to swap out that one front piece, or do you have to replace the whole unit? Thanks!
Truck just had driver side lifters replaced because the same sound, drivers side only when cold when idle drops to normal operating idle, once it is fully warm it doesnt tick, what else could this be,any ideas would help.thanks.17 ram rebel hemi with 10,000miles

I just hydroplane yesterday on interstate and my 2015 dodge ram 1500 Laramie eco diesel slid into guard rails. I'm trying to find out what year models would be compatible. The passenger side door has the worst damage but also busted taillight and dented bed below taillight.
