Tranny fluid on my 01 5.9L sits barely under the ok hatched area on tranny dipstick when fluid is hot. Any idea how much it will take to bring it up to the middle of the hatched area?

Just to make sure: I checked the fluid level after driving 15 miles of free way, stop on my level drive way, put it in neutral and checked it several times and made sure the tranny dipstick was pushed in/seated completely on the tranny dipstick tube.

Any ideas/thoughts or just very slowly fluid and keep checking?

I wouldn't go no more than a quarter of a quart at a time and check.

Thanks for the response... I added 1/3 of a quart and it barely put it into the bottom of the hatched area. Drive a day or so like this then added another 1/3 quart and see where it takes me
