I wired mine into the overhead console. Used a multi meter and mounted it on top of the rear view mirror.Like others that have their detectors mounted with out the cord showing.It's under the factory tint line but its very close. The nice part is it is hard to notice outside the truck.



Which color wires did you tap into on the mirror plug for hot (engine running) and ground? I don't have a volt/ohm meter. :4-dontknow:

The pink wire with a stripe (can't remember what color stripe, but there's only one pink with a stripe) is the hot with ignition on and the black wire with I thinks it's a green stripe is the ground.

Pink with green is hot and black with green is ground, its a bitch to get the wires in but keep at it.

Just ordered my Blendmount and Mirrortap for the Escort Passport 8500 X50 I also just ordered. Are these the wire colors in the auto dimming mirror? I've got the one shown in the pics in this thread on my 2009 Laramie.

Installed!

I got my detector, Blendmount and Mirrortap yesterday and installed everything last night. The wires called out in the previous post were exactly correct and I had everything mounted up in 15 minutes in my 2009 Laramie. Super high quality stuff and everything works great. Love having the forum around to save me tons of trial and error!
